File System Access in Safari

Jesse Costello-Good
Hi,

Does anyone know of a way to read/write to the file system from
Safari (from a page loaded from the file: scheme)? This would be
equivalent to the IE's FileSystemObject ActiveX object or Firefox's
nsILocalFile XP component.

If there is nothing existing, would exposing a file system interface
in JavaScript be possible by writing a Safari plug-in in Objective-C
or Java?

Thanks,

Jesse Costello-Good

We don't have anything like that.
